Weissenborn Back at Lindenwood D1 for 25/26

Alex Weissenborn was named to Lindenwood University Men’s Hockey Coaching staff in the fall of 2024.

Former LU Head Coach Bill Muckalt recognized the hard working and talented young coach and did not hesitate to bring him on board. With Muckalt moving on to Michigan Tech, New LU Head Coach Keith Fischer wasted no time locking up Weissy for the 25/26 season. The long time RGA Alum will continue to work with RGA Students during the NCAA season.

Weissenborn Bio

Alex has come full circle with RGA. Beginning as a student for 10 years, moving on to the Junior and College ranks and now settling in as a Lead RGA Goalie Coach.

Alex youth career saw stints with the St Peters Spirit, St. Louis AAA Blues, Chesterfield Falcons CSDHL, and the St. Louis AAA Selects.

Alex also enjoyed a solid high school hockey career guarding the net for Fort Zumwalt South.

He left High School his senior year to play for the Willmar Warhawks of the NA3HL in Willmar, Minnesota. After 1 season in Minnesota he went to play for the Dells Ducks of the USPHL Premier in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Alex suffered an upper body injury and after extensive rehab and recovery, Alex committed and resumed his career at Lawrence Tech University in Michigan in the fall of 2020!

Alex returned to St Louis and already armed with extensive summer camp coaching experience with RGA, It was natural fit for Alex to join the RGA Coaching staff to help coach and mentor the the Academy’s goalies.

Alex grew up in St.Charles, MO and has become one of RGA’s Most recognizable faces!
