Goalie Coach / Social Media Personality
Keith has been a trusted goalie coach with Racine Goalie Academy since the Academy’s beginning.

Keith grew up in St. Louis and in high school played for Chaminade as well as the AAA Amateur Blues for four seasons under Head Coach Lindsay Middlebrook. Before transferring to the University of Missouri and earning a degree in Strategic Communications in the School of Journalism, Keith spent his freshman year playing NCAA Hockey at Bowling Green State University.
His best hockey memories include winning a Silver Sticks championship, a Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament championship and representing his high school playing for Team Missouri.
Keith was once teammates with RGA guest instructor and St Louis NHL native Mike McKenna and was also teammates with Ben Bishop, Paul Stastny and Chris Butler while at Chaminade.
Vangels has created a huge Social Media following and is involved in many high level media events, including skating at Centre Bell during the 4 Nations Cup!
KVG also serves as the Goalie Instructor and Consultant for the Kirkwood Youth Hockey Association and Chaminade College Prep.
Keith’s been coaching goalies for over 17 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Racine Goalie Academy.
